Cinema Sandadi for Sankranti

This Sankranti doesn’t seem to be enthusing all the fans of all big stars in Tollywood.  While there is pin drop silence from major part of the group, the only two prominent heroes reaching the people during this Sankranti are Victory Venkatesh and Superstar Mahesh Babu.

BodyguardVekatesh has chosen ‘Bodyguard’, a super duper hit in the Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.  In each language top stars have done this movie. Venkatesh, suiting the character very well has increased the expectation among the fans.  Another formula to success is the female lead Trisha, who has so far proven to be a lady luck for Venkatesh by giving two hits through Selva Raghavan’s ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule’ and Sreenu Vaitla’s ‘Namo Venkatesa’. The story line of the movie ‘Bodyguard’ as well as the characterization has been well received by the audience in other languages.  No doubt, Telugu audience also will certainly entertain this class flick.  Coincidently, Venkatesh-Trisha combination is repeating for this Sankranthi too, the last being ‘Namo Venkatesa’.  Producer Bellamkonda Suresh who tasted success through Venkatesh in ‘Nagavalli’ is heavily betting on him now through ‘Bodyguard’ for which he aptly roped in another successful director Gopichand Malineni.

On the other hand, Super star Mahesh Babu, who is still floating in cloud nine through ‘Dookudu’, the super duper hit of 2011 is getting ready to throw his weight in the ring.  ‘Businessman’, aptly titled for the personality of the superstar is no doubt a crowd puller. BusinessmenPuri Jagannath, whose ‘Pokiri’ is still fresh in the minds of the people even after 5 years has taken keen interest in penning the script for the movie apart from directing it.  His keen sense of professionalism and impeccable direction are no doubt the best ingredients adding value to the superstar’s personality and talent.  Tailor made dialogues for Mahesh Babu in ‘Pokiri’ by Puri Jagannath has given him the strength to come back with much more bigger as we see from certain dialogues of ‘Businessman’ released on the net.  Kajal who is pairing with Mahesh Babu for the first time in this film is said to have gone a bit distance with steamy scenes including a lip-lock one.  Dr Venkat of RR Movie Makers is coming up with this prestigious film for this Sankranti.

While Mahesh Babu’s ‘Businessman’ hits theaters on 13th of January, Venkatesh’s ‘Bodyguard’ is coming a day late, the 14th of January to treat the Telugu movie lovers the much expected Sankranti celebrations.  This being the case with the two leading heroes, it’s unfortunate that ardent fans of other big stars have to wait to see their heroes in action during the festival season.  As there is dust created by the release of two big films, a hero from Nandamuri family has decided to test his luck by releasing his film on this Sankranti.  Yes, Tarakaratna’s ‘Nandeeswarudu’ is also hitting theaters on January 14th.

Usually Siddharth comes out with a film during Sakranthi but this time his movie ‘Love Failure’ fails to make it for Sankranthi but may not fail to reach his fans atleast in February.  Sunil, who is now growing in confidence, film after film has now become a very dependable hero.  After ‘Andala Ramudu’, ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and ‘Appalaraju’, it’s now ‘Poola Rangadu’ which also is likely to hit theaters in February.  Another young hero in the queue is Manchu Manoj whose film ‘Mr Nokia’ is also in final stages getting ready to hit the theaters once the dust created by senior heroes settles.  Not far from these chaos joining the group are some more movies like ‘Nithin’s ‘Ishq’, Aadi’s ‘Lovely’ and few more films.

While the youngsters are lining up there are two other senior heroes Nandamuri Balakrishna and Ravi Teja are silently preparing their ammunitions. Though there is a big fan following for NBK, it’s unfortunate that he is late by a month disappointing his fans during Sakranthi. In Ravi Teja’s case also, it was a big hit through ‘Mirapakay’ during last Sankranthi whereas this time he too has taken a step back and postponed his film ‘Nippu’ to some time in February.  To conclude, despite the fact that Rajendra Prasad has slowed down his number of movies is expected to be the first one to release his film ‘Ayyare’ soon after Sankranti.

Ragalahari wishes tollywood as well as Telugu film lovers a Very Happy Sankranti and good viewing of the movies of their favorite stars.
