Talk on "Healing through the power of the mind" held

FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), a national body, a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Hyderabad Chapter has organised a talk on "Healing through the power of the mind" here in city today at Hotel Trident.

Welcoming the gathering, Rekha Lahoti, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad Chapter urged participants to get enlightened on healing of diseases through psychosomatic ways. Dr. Ashwani Chopra is an eminent gastroenterologist of Delhi, a specialist in disease of the Digestive System, Liver & Gall Bladder she said.

Everyone wants to know different ways of healing diseases. But can this be achieved? Yes, this can be achieved, Rekha said.
Our mind especially our subconscious mind is a miraculous tool. And we must understand any disturbance in the mind causes disturbance in the body. So we need to know the mind in order to use the mind to heal any ailment or sickness, she said.
Dr. Ashwani has been holding various workshops in the field of Holistic Health. His interest in medicine is not limited to modern medicine but he is also an expert in alternative disciplines of health and healing. He has extensively researched the latest in Neurosciences where science and spirit meet.

He launched Aashlok Hospital, the first private modern multi disciplinary hospital in New Delhi It has also become synonymous with introduction of integrative Medicine where specialists from different fields of Alternative Medicine not only attend but treat in conjunction with Allopathic doctors informed Rekha.

As you all know Building synergy is the theme of the year ...lets all, each one us work towards it, Rekha said. Speaking further Rekha Lahoti added about FLO's new initiative—SWAYAM. Under this initiative, FLO plans to provide support to budding and existing women entrepreneurs in, Establishing a new Business, Marketing and branding Strategies for their business, Govt. Finance & Promotional Schemes through MSMEs, Bank Finance ( Term loan or working capital), Equity Funding ( Venture capital), Tie up with HR agencies etc. This will be executed through: 'SWAYAM': A support cell for Women Entrepreneurs headed by Ms. Sujini Dundoo, Rekha Lahoti informed.
Dr. Ashwani Chopra, Physician & Gastroenterologist, Aashlok Hospital, New Delhi spoke on the subject, which was attended by well over 100 members of the FLO.

The session was an introduction to alternative disciplines of health and healing. Dr. Chopra discussed the holistic health based on integrating modern medicine with Reiki, Pranic Healing, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy. He will also conduct a session on Meditation. The talk ended with question and answer session and a brief Meditation too.
