Celebrate Womanhood with Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan - FICCI Ladies Organisation Event at Taj Banjara

YFLO organises an Interactive Session “Celebrate Womanhood" with Bollywood Film Stars Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan.

Young FICCI Ladies Organization(YFLO) organizes an Interactive Session “Celebrate Womanhood” with Bollywood Film Stars mother and dauther duo, Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan. It will be held here in city at Hotel Taj Krishna on 26th Ausut from 3pm.

Disclosing this, Chairperson of YFLO Samia Alam Khan said, the interactive session will be held in conversation with Nishat Fatima, a Journalist and Author.

Being born as a woman is a gift from God itself, be it celebrities or a next door neighbor. Woman is often considered as playing multiple roles. She is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a granny. Along with these multitude of roles, she also has function based roles, she is a friend, philosopher, teacher, entrepreneur, business executive and many more.

Because of these versatile roles, they have become bright powers in today's scenario. They are the powerful entities. They have always been a brave fighters in the battle of life. Womne have time and again proved that they not less in any of the fields and they are versatile. This must be ingrained in every women. And this calls for a celebration. Let us all come together and "Celebrate Womanhood" in an interactive session with the Bollywood Stars informed Samila Alam Khan.
Sharmila Tagore is the daughter of this land. She was born here in Hyderabad in the year 1944. She has many spell bound performances and awards to her credit. She lead the Indian Film Censor Board. She was UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and a Jury Member at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. She was honoured with Padma Bhushan award for her contribution by the Government of India.

Like mother, so the daughter, the rising star in Indian Cinema. Educated abroad, worked for short stint with Citi Bank, Ford Foundation. She did some modeling as well. Then plunged into acting which is already there in her blood. And acted in Bangali and Hindu movies for a well over a decade. She has won number of awards, including the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in ‘Rang De Basanti'.

Nishat Fatima‘s last job was editor of the Indian edition of the fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar. She has written the novel "Seriously, Sitara?" and the coffee table book "Suneet Varma" celebrating 25 years of the designer. She is shortly off to school in Paris to study photography.

?The entry to the talk is by invitation to the members of YFLO. Young FLO (YFLO) is a forum for the career women between 20 and 39.

The Hyderabad Chapter of YFLO began its operations in the year2002 and has a membership base of about 400 members. Some of the services and activities of the FLO include: Personality Development, Awareness Programs, Training, Business Consultancy, Networking and Recognition

Good evening Dear Past Chairpersons, Governing Board Members and my dear fellow Members. I would like to thank Sharmila Tagore, Soha Ali Khan and Nishat Fatima for taking time out from their busy schedule and gracing our YFLO event.

The theme for the evening is "Celebrating Womanhood...."

As you are all aware Young FLO is all about empowering women and every effort of ours is aimed at this purpose.
Whatever be the role, a woman undertakes; be it a home maker or scientist, actor or sportsperson, her journey, her experience and her determination to rise have the potential to steer and influence her ecosystem.

Icons play an extremely important role in our society. And we have three admirable icons today. Each is a motivating story waiting to unfold.

Our first guest for today Padma Bhushan Ms. Sharmila Tagore, a two time National awardee, who has also been honored with numerous awards and distinctions. She has captured the imagination of our nation with her mesmerizing beauty and talent over several generations. Sharmila ji an individual of your caliber and stature are awe inspiring to most of us.
The beautiful and vivacious Soha Ali Khan. Is a mix of beauty, brains and style. She has portrayed multi-faceted roles and has graced the silver screen with style and charm!

Nishat Fatima who will be conversing with Soha and Sharmila ji, is a dyanamic journalist and author currently based out of Hyderabad. She worked as editor of the Indian edition of fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar. She has authored the novel "Seriously Sitara?" and a Coffee Table Book titled "Suneet Varma -- celebrating 25 years of the designer". Her deep interest in Photography is taking her to Paris shortly to study photography.

Before I close and we move on to the evening with our Honorable Guests, I would like to share with you all a very heartening gesture by a philanthropic organisation that has come forward to support YFLO.
