Actor Sumanth Prabhas' rural love and family drama Godari Gattupaina is set to hit the cinemas on May 8. Directed by Subhash Chandra and produced under Red Puppet Productions, the film's promotional material hint at an emotional story. In this interview, debutant producer Abhinav Rao talks about his maiden release.

I have been involved in various businesses for the past ten years. Cinema has always been my passion. I was looking for a strong script for a long time. Subhash Chandra narrated this story and I liked it immediately. I wanted to create a movie with universal emotions. This film gave me that perfect opportunity. My journey as a first-time producer was very good but tough. I believe toughness makes any industry worthwhile. I only feel motivated when a project is challenging. The title has a universal appeal that connects with everyone.

Sumanth Prabhas usually speaks in a Telangana dialect. However an actor always wants to take on challenging roles. Speaking in his natural dialect is easy for him. He took this role as a challenge and learned the Godavari dialect perfectly. An actor feels satisfied only when they tackle something difficult. He performed wonderfully in this film. I believe the audience will appreciate his hard work.

I listened to nearly ten stories before making this film. I really liked the narrative provided by Subhash. I admire him greatly as a director. He works with immense dedication and has no distractions. Technically he is very strong. I prefer having everything documented on paper. He presented every aspect of the shoot in detail. Every frame was meticulously planned. The entire shoot went exactly according to that plan. I got the chance to work with Jagapathi Babu, Laila, and Rajeev Kanakala because of him. His encouragement was vital for my first film.

Actress Nidhi Pradeep perfectly suited the character written by Subhash. There are very strong emotional scenes between her and Jagapathi Babu. The way emotions are presented in this story is quite unique. The film blends emotions, comedy, and drama wonderfully. It will provide a great theatrical experience for the audience. Naga Vamshi has composed very good music. The songs and score elevate the story effectively.

Sunil Narang garu is my mentor and well-wisher. He supports me in every aspect of production. Tirupati Prasad garu is releasing the film in the Ceded region. Sunil garu and I are handling the Nizam release. Suresh Babu garu is looking after the Andhra region. We are planning premiere shows on the evening of May 7.

I like all genres of cinema. My goal is to produce stories that engage audiences in theaters. I am very happy with how this film turned out. The story we envisioned has come out exceptionally well on screen.
