Trimurthulu, my character, is a highly entertaining person, and playing this constable felt completely natural. Don't expect a routine commercial formula, though; this is a realistic look at a cop tackling problems from inside the system. We spent a year perfecting the script to ensure it wasn't just another investigative thriller. Every fight and song has a purpose and only exists to drive the story forward.
In an era where viewing habits have dramatically shifted, traditional love stories and family dramas no longer suffice. Director Kamal Teja Narla's treatment style is quite refreshing. I liked how he innovated the core idea by working on the script for nearly a year. I worked closely with them during that period. Opting for a star director was never in my mind. I have to make choices keeping my market value in mind.
We started the production journey after considering all factors. We overshot the budget, but that was not by a big margin.
Just because I am the producer of this film, it doesn't mean the script highlights only me. The one hundred folks (among them my family and friends) who have watched the movie appreciated the fact that the script stays true to the story rather than obsessing with my character.
Right now, my focus is on solo-hero projects, and I would like to continue in that space. That said, I am open to multi-starrers if the story is strong enough. As someone who values content the most, I would gladly take on a project for an OTT platform if the script is interesting.
Among the younger crop of actors, I like the consistency shown by Nani and Sharwanand. The duo picks their characters and scripts wisely. Mouli Tanuj was very good in Little Hearts. As for biggies, I liked both Pushpa and Rangasthalam among the star movies in the last many years. Chiranjeevi garu's role in Man Shankara Vara Prasad Garu was also very entertaining.
As a child, I was fascinated by NTR's Adivi Ramudu. Acting became my passion slowly.
I have always been grateful for the affection the Telugu audience have showered on me. In the last 12 years, at many public events, people asked me to make a re-entry.
