Surya Teja, Sai Dhanshika, Simran and Sony Charishta starrer ‘Mela’ press meet was held on Wednesday i.e. on December 13 at Saradhi Studios in Hyderabad. Mamidi Venkata Lakshmi as presenter, Konka Productions and PSP Films banners are jointly producing the film.
On this occasion, Sai Dhanshika said, “Powerful team like Kiran garu, Santhosh garu, Sony Charishta and Surya Teja and to name a few are working for this film. ‘Mela’ is an important film for me for my career. My character in the film has many dimensions. The film will have all elements like love, comedy and emotions. The film will engage audience for sure.”
Updating the progress of the film, Raja Ravindra said, “The film is being made with different subject. You will see be in a most vital role. Screenplay will stand out as big plus to the film. ‘Mela’ has already wrapped up 60% shooting.”
Producer Santhosh Kumar said, “The film ‘Mela’ is being made with a distinct story and screenplay. It is being made based on some real life incidents. Director Kiran garu is moulding the film according to the planning.”
Briefing about the film’s details, director Kiran Sripuram said, “The film is being made based on the real incident that happened in Mumbai in 2006. According to the story, the characters of Surya Teja, Sai Dhanshika, Simran and Sony Charishta and some others will have two to three variations. The outcome of the film is more wonderful than we expected. At present, climax lead song is being canned. Almost 60% shooting has been completed. We are planning for a trailer launch soon for this suspense thriller. The trailer will make you understand why the title ‘Mela’ was chosen for this film.”
