Dr. Mohan Babu felicitated in Jamaica by Telugus


Jamaica: The Telugu community in the Caribbean Island nation of Jamaica had richly felicitated renowned Tollywood producer, versatile artiste and educationist Dr. M. Mohan Babu, who is currently on a visit to the western countries.

On his arrival in Jamaica, scores of Telugu community people from all walks of life received him with a big welcome. In the honor of Dr Mohan Babu, a felicitation function was organized by the Telugu Association of the Caribbean region. Alabama Family Medicine Centre CEO Dr. Ramesh Peramsetty, speaking on the occasion, said it was a great privilege to the Telugus of Jamaica to honour Dr. Mohan Babu, who proved him to be a multifaceted personality as an artiste and educationist. “Dr. Mohan Babu’s services in the field of education by establishing Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust and offering free education to the poor and downtrodden stands as a testimony to his social commitment. As an artiste, he chiseled an enviable yet ever-admiring place in the hearts of the Telugus all over the world,” Dr. Peramsetty added.

Indis Pharma chief and a prominent community leader Mr. Guna Muppuru, who organized the felicitation function, said that Dr. Mohan Babu is a source of inspiration to those who want to come up in life with hard work, self-confidence and perseverance as yardsticks. He urged Dr. Mohan Babu to initiate steps for capturing the scenic beauty of Jamaica while shooting films. He further appraised the producer-actor about places of tourism interest and the excellent facilities offered to the visitors.

Journalist and Global Community News Service CEO Mr. Polavarapu Srinivas (Gani Pola), thanking the organizers said that Dr. Mohan Babu was always a man of vision.

Dr. Mohan Babu addressing the gathering said that development would always follow provided one should have perseverance. The combination of self-confidence, hard work, and perseverance is a sure formula to success. He also recalled some of the most memorable events and persons in his life as a producer, artiste, and educationist and as a people’s representative. Expressing happiness at the scintillating places in Jamaica, he said he would seriously consider undertaking film shooting in Jamaica. “The facilities provided to tourists are amazing. Joy and entertainment are a must for gaining knowledge, but at the same time it should not be at the cost of our heritage,” Dr. Mohan Babu said.
