On 23rd March President Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam conferred the prestigious Padma Shri on popular actor-producer and socialist Dr.Mohan Babu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Mohan Babu's entire family was in attendance for the occasion. Speaking to the media after the event Mohan Babu said that receiving this award had increased his responsibilities towards the society. He also thanked the film Industry for all the name and fame that it had given him and said that he would continue to serve it for the years to come.
