Actress Charmi unveiled the title of her latest film, a bilingual (in Tamil and Telugu) being directed by Solomon Prabhu, on the sets of a song that was being filmed at Annapurna-7 Acres. At the press meet held at that venue actress Charmi, along with director Solomon and other cast and crew members, announced the title as 16 Days.
The story is about 16 days in the lives of the hero and heroine, hence the title 16 Days. Director Solomon said One of the biggest highlights of the film is the heroine. She rides bikes, imitates popular people and shares a very passionate relationship. She is the personification of positive thoughts. Arvind, who has worked as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam, is being introduced as the leading man. Bhaskar Batlas lyrics, Dharans music, Sukumars cinematography and Chinnikrishnas choreography are the technical strengths of the film
Angelina, my character in this film, is very special to me. I have not played such a role so far in my career. Charmi said I mimic Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja and even Sunil in this film. I have mostly done one sided romance in my films but in this film Arvind and I share a very romantic relationship. The film is titled as Laddam in Tamil.
I left for Bollywood almost 25 years ago but returned to Tollywood occasionally to compose dances for Chiranjeevi choreographer Chinni Prakash, who had recently composed steps for Ashutosh Gawarikars magnum opus Jodha Akbar, said For the introduction song of 16 Days I have roped in the IPL cheerleaders.
Following the press meet, Charmi, in an unusually reclusive mood, politely refused to pose for the cameras citing that she was not appropriately dressed.
