The success meet of JD Chakravarthy’s first directorial venture ‘Homam’, was held today by the unit members at the production office, Hyderabad. The film was made under Shreya Productions banner by producer Kiran Kumar Koneru. Dil Raju acquired the AP distribution rights and released through his banner Venkateswara Creations on August 28. JD, Jagapathi Babu, Kiran Kumar Koneru and the distributor of ceded and Nellore, Hari attended the success meet.

JD announced that the there will be a huge ‘Homam’ rally from September 16, celebrating the success of the film with the people. He said the the launch of the sequel to Homam will be on October 9th. The title for the sequal is ‘Homam in Pakistan’ with a tagline of ‘Marana Homam Chestara?’ Further speaking he said that the cast for this sequel will be totally new and the details of it would be announced shortly through a programme in TV channel.

Hero of the film Jagapathi Babu opined that although his recent films Pellaina Kothalo and Samanyudu were box office hits, as far as the first week collections are considered, the film Homam’s openings could be considered as a new record which is the best in his film career.

Producer Kiran Kumar Koneru expressed his happiness for the positive responses from audience and thanked the media for their great support. He further extended his thanks to Dil Raju for his important role that he played as a distributor.

“The film is running with houseful collections all over AP. I’ve released this film yesterday in Chennai on the eve of Ganesh festival. We are getting positive talk everywhere and am thankful to Dil Raju for giving the Nizam and ceded areas rights. I’m now looking forward for aquiring Homam II,” said the distributor Hari.
