Chairman of Prasad Studios, Ramesh Prasad, who produced many beautiful films on Prasad Productions banner, is producing a film titled 'Andhra Pori'. This is the second time, he collaborated with director Raj Madiraju after the critically acclaimed film 'Rushi'.
This film is a remake of Marathi film, 'Timepass', which was a sensational hit. Puri Jagannadh's son Aakash Puri is being introduced as the hero with this film and Ulka Gupta is the leading lady. The film is a beautiful love story of teenagers. The shooting of the film was completed recently and the post production work is going on in full swing at present. The makers are planning to launch the audio at the end of this month and the movie on May 15th.
On this occasion, the team has attended a press meet at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad.
Ramesh Prasad said " The shooting of 'Andhra Pori' was successfully completed recently. This is my second film with Raj Madhiraju. As a producer, I only selected the story and director took of everything. For the first time in the history of Prasad Productions, which has been serving he industry of more than 50 years, we completed a film in a single schedule shooting the film continuously for 35 days. The reason why we have selected this story is 'Timepass' was a huge hit in Marathi and broke many existing records during the time of it's release. The concept is superb and so we remade the film in Telugu, not compromising anywhere. The locations, music, camera work and the work of every department is excellent. We are very happy with the work of Aakash Puri and Ulka Guptha. As it is a teenage love story, it can't be a huge film. We thoroughly enjoyed working for this film. Everyone worked very hard for this movie and their efforts will definitely bear fruit. I hope all the technicians and artists who worked for this film will be more successful in the industry. I hope everyone supports this film. Because, only then many more good films like this will come".
Srikanth, who played an important role in 'Andhra Pori', said, "Only because of the encouragement of the great personality Ramesh Prasad, I am here. Everyone should support good films like this. Andhra Pori should be an extraordinary success because it is an extraordinary Telugu commercial film".
Art director Rajeev Nair said, "Everyone is saying that 'Andhra Pori' is a small film. But I hope it will be become a beautiful big film. We worked hard for this film and we need everyone's support".
Raj Madiraju said, "'Andhra Pori' is a beautiful love story of teenagers of age 16-17 years. It is a remake of Marathi blockbuster film 'Timepass' and hope we did justification for the original. I thank Ramesh Prasad sir for giving me second chance after the award winning movie 'Rushi'. We didn't take Aakash because he is the son of Puri Jagannadh. We roped in him because he is a good actor. We even auditioned him along with many others. Aakash is very down to earth. He is very controlled and hardworking. We are really proud to have worked with him. Srikanth floored us with his acting. Prasad Productions provided excellent equipment and script is the real hero of this film. Praveen Vanamali did a wonderful job. He exploited the beautiful locations well. Dr.Josyabhatla, who had a PhD in music, provided music for this film. Every tune has life and so much depth. The songs will be very good and I hope the film will be received well. The rerecording work is going on at present. We are planning to release the songs at the end of this month around 25th and the film on May 15th".
Aakash Puri said, "I am really very excited to watch the film on screen soon. When Raj Madhiraju narrated the story of 'Andhra Pori' to my father, I said I will not act in the film. Because, I don't want to be introduced as hero at this age. But my father said that I can't be a good actor, if don't act in this film. So I agreed to act in the film and saw 'Timepass'. I loved the film and the hero in Timepass acted wonderfully. After watching it, I felt if I can do justice to the role. But the team encouraged me well. At first, I was very apprehensive because I don't know how the speak in Telangana slang. But after the workshop, I felt confident. I used to laugh when someone call me hero on the sets. But I came to understand being a hero is a great responsibility. I hope our film will be loved and everyone blesses us".
