Swathi as the lead, a new film titled ‘Tripura’ was launched in a grand way on Monday at film chamber in Hyderabad. Colours Swathi, who earned good craze with the films like ‘Ashta Chamma’, ‘Golconda High School’, ‘Swami Ra Ra’ and ‘Karthikeya’, is playing the title role in this lady oriented film for the first time. The film is being made in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. A Chinababu and M Rajasekhar are producing this film on Crazy Media banner with Swathi and Pavani as presenters. ‘Geetanjali’ fame Raj Kiran is directing the film. The successful combination Kona Venkat and Raj Kira nog ‘Geetanjali’ in 2014, will repeat their success streak with ‘Tripura’ in 2015 also.
Boyapati Srinu, Santhosh Srinivas, Ali, Satyam Rajesh and some prminant people from the film industry graced the event as chief guests. Director Boyapati Srinu, Ali and Kona Venkat presented the script to ‘Tripura’ team.
“I’m very happy that I’m once again working with Kona Venkat. Swathi’s role as Tripura will be highlight for the film. ‘Andala Rakshasi’ fame hero Naveen Chandra will give a special appearance. ‘Tripura’ will be more thrilling than ‘Geetanjali’,” said director Raj Kiran.
Speaking at the movie launch, Kona Venkat said, “I’m glad that I’m working with a wonderful team as a screenplay writer. I know the skills of the director Raj Kiran. I was very excited after listening to the script.”
“I’m glad that I’m working with a successful team on our banner. We are making the film simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. Regular shooting will starts from April 15. The shooting will take place in the surrounding areas of Hyderabad and in the Film City,” said producer Chinababu.
Writer Veligonda Srinivas, dialogue Writer Raja, Producer MVV Satyanarayana and Naveen Chandra have also attended the film launch function.
