Vedam Muhurat

Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar and Anushka starring ‘Vedam’ to be directed by Gamyam fame Krish under Arka Media Works Pvt Ltd., production was launched today at Cinemax, Hyderabad. The muhurat shot was inaugurated by SS Rajamouli by tapping the clap board while Tammareddy Bhardwaja switched on the camera and K Raghavendra Rao handled the first shot of direction.

Later a press meet was arranged to brief about the film schedules. Firstly director Radhakrishna aka Krish spoke to media and said, “I was initially preparing the script for Venkatesh’s ‘Krishnam Vande Jagam’, but unfortunately I could not satisfy him. So I decided to take some more time to fine tune that script. In the mean time with his permission I wanted to do this film called ‘Vedam’ with new star cast. But then Allu Arjun has shown his interest to work with me long ago. So when I narrated the story to Arjun he immediately gave his nod for the role of slum star and opined that Manchu Manoj would aptly fit into the role of rockstar. Later Mohan Babu garu listened to the story narration and okayed for the film. The story revolves around five characters. Four of them are played by Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu, Anushka and Manoj Bajpay while the fifth character is played by a senior artist. We are planning to complete the film by this December”.

Allu Arjun while speaking, “I was longing to do multi-starrer films for quite long time. Generally in multi-starrer films the script will be the main hero because the stars cannot dominate the script. Most of our film makers are thirsty to do films like in Bollywood with multi-stars. Even when I approached Chiranjeevi garu with this project, he encouraged me by saying that if ‘Vedam’ will be a hit you will be the trend setter for other heroes." Speaking further he said, "Vedam is a commercial film that will be made with international standards. My aim is to grow as an actor by keeping aside the stardom because getting recognition as a good actor is more difficult than that of stardom”, he concluded.

MM Keeravani who is providing music to ‘Vedam’ informed that he is portraying the role of old woman.

One of the producers Devineni Ravi who was initially producing TV serials said, “Right now we are producing two films at a time. Last week we have already launched the first film ‘Maryadha Ramanna’ while the second is this”.
