Manoj-Raghavendra Rao Film On The Sets

A press meet was held at Rama Naidu studios today where the new film starring Manchu Manoj Kumar was launched under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao. Dr Mohan Babu’s daughter Lakshmi Prasanna is turning producer with this flick and it is the 51st film being made under Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. The shooting of the film started off with a song shoot on Manchu Manoj and the pictures below indicate that the film is being made on musical backdrop. MM Keeravani, who has composed numerous hit songs for K Raghavendra Rao is once again composing tunes for this film too.

In a press meet held at the shooting spot, Dr Mohan Babu said, “My brother Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao came in a ‘Bobbilipuli’ get up and launched our Lakshmi Prasanna banner in 1982. But exactly after 10 years of its launch I made my brother’s last film ‘Major Chandrakanth’. Manoj was a child artist in that film which was directed by the legendary K Raghavendra Rao garu. Now, I am very happy to note that Manoj is acting as hero under his direction. So far I made 50 films under this banner. But this film will be produced by my daughter Lakshmi Prasanna. This film being made on musical backdrop has eleven songs altogether.”

Balakrishna said, “Mohan Babu garu is our family friend. I am very happy to see his children growing with their own talent and hardwork. This banner launched by my father made 50 films in various genres. I am also happy that Lakshmi Prasanna is making her entry into films as a producer.”

Manoj said, “I acted as a child artist in Raghavendra Rao garu’s film and now again I am working with him as a hero. I’ve no words to say except it’s amazing.”

“This is my first production venture and I am glad to get a professional technical team. We are introducing a new art director by name Raghu Kulkarni through this film. A new heroine by name Tapthi is going to make her debut. It is a complete family entertainer to be watched by the entire family together”, informed Lakshmi Prasanna.
