Leader Press Meet

Introducing Rana Daggubati, the film ‘Leader’ directed by Sekhar Kammula under AVM Productions banner is ready to hit global theaters on February 19th. On this occasion a press meet was arranged at the Spirit Towers near Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. It was attended by Rana, Richa and Subba Raju.

Rana while speaking, “Richa and I are being introduced as hero and heroine through the film ‘Leader’. Sekhar Kammula is known for soft subject oriented films. But this film is quite contrast to them. He has been very responsible while penning the script. You can find a trustworthy writer in him if you have watched his previous films. Now coming to me I wanted to make my debut by doing a responsible film. I was amazed to see myself on the silver screen for the first time. I even observed the positives and negatives in my performance. This movie was not scripted for me because the main hero of this film is the story and I did a role in this film."

Briefing about ‘Leader’ he said, “We have been studying about ours leaders Gandhiji and Sardhar Vallabhai Patel right for the past six decades. But so far we haven’t seen leaders with their qualities. Therefore this movie will portray the qualities of a good leader. Through this film we are also showing how responsible a politician should be. Even though the film deals with the political theme, there is also a mix of love and family drama.”

Giving his opinion on the production values and the music Rana said, “AVM Productions is the most prestigious banner that is existing for the past 75 years with several super hit and block buster films. This banner has introduced superstars like Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Hassan and I am very happy to note that my name is also going to be included in that. Now coming to the music Mickey J Meyer did a fabulous job in musical scores. The audio is simply classic and the song ‘Maa Telugu Thalliki’ has not been removed either from music album or from the film.”

Heroine Richa said, “It’s fantastic to work with such wonderful team. I’m playing the role of a political leader’s daughter who is a journalist.”

Subba Raju opined that one can predict the film by looking at the tears of happiness in the eyes of Ramanaidu garu.
