Vedam Audio Release

The multi-starrer film ‘Vedam’ with Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar Manchu and Anushka in central roles is being directed by Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna aka Krisha under Arka Media Works (Pvt) Ltd. The audio release function of this film was held at Hotel Taj Deccan in Hyderabad. The star studded event was a glitzy night with the graceful presence of Allu Arjun, Anushka, Manoj Kumar Manchu, Manoj Bajpai, Deeksha, Krish, Dil Raju, MM Keeravani, Ram Lakshman, Sravan, Lekha Washington, Nagayya, Gynana Sekhar and others.

Dil Raju while speaking, “After a very long period we are going to see a multi-starrer film in Telugu film industry. I’ve missed a good film like ‘Gamyam’. Although I wanted to purchase a distribution rights for entire AP it did not materialize. So I bought only the Nizam rights.”

Keeravani said, “Since everyone is available for this day, this audio release function is held today. The CDs and cassettes will be released in markets only on May 12th. For the past 3 years my wife did not purchase any audios and finally purchased this one which itself is a great compliment for me. She is going to market it through our Vel Recording Company.”

“I think this is the first multi-starrer film in the recent times. Everyone gave their best performance giving a healthy competition. During the shootings we were so much involved in the characters that we used to call each other only by the character names. Keeravani’s music needs a special mention. While listening to few songs tears will roll down the eyes automatically. A director should really have guts to deal with one such script. ‘Vedam’ is sure to be a trend setter for multi-starrer films and am sure that this film will remain as one of the everlasting films”, opined Anushka.

Manoj Bajpai while speaking, “I was introduced to Telugu audience through Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Prema Katha’ film and did many films later. This is my 2nd film with Bunny. One can find lot of energy in Bunny and Manoj as well. ‘Vedam’ is quite different of the films today. We can judge the director’s taste by looking at this poster. One needs to have lot of guts to do a role portrayed by Anushka. I’m playing the role of Raheemuddin. Musical scores by Keeravani are brilliant. ‘Vedam’ is sure to remain in people’s minds as one of the best ever made films.”

Manoj said, “I’m very happy to do a film with such fine star cast. I’m a great fan of Manoj Bajpai. Although I felt little scared to act with him he provided enough comfort by encouraging me. It is only possible for a director like Krish to do such films. I’m very lucky to do this film. Keeravani’s music is excellent. There are altogether 7 songs and there is a rock song exclusively for me.”

Allu Arjun said, “The producer will definitely feel proud for launching his banner through ‘Vedam’. I become very emotional whenever I think about it because it is a heart wrenching film. After watching this film my father complimented me as a good artist. I worked with Keeravani in my debut film and now in this film I feel very lucky to perform a solo song called ‘Rupaayi…’ which was written and composed by Keeravani himself. ‘Vedam’ is not an art film but at the same time this film has been made on a new format. This film is going to be a lesson for those who used to talk ill about Telugu cinema. No other heroine would dare to do the role played by Anushka in this film. Of all my heroines so far, Anushka is the most disciplined artist. To mention about Manoj, I’m very happy to work with him since we had no egos between us. We were so comfortable on the sets and never felt oneself as greater than other. Infact it was me who approached him for the role in the film and he immediately accepted even without listening to the script. We also got the best technicians in this film. ‘Vedam’ is a one man show and we all supported him only. I needn’t specially mention about his work because every frame in the film will speak about his talent. He is definitely one of those directors our Telugu film industry will feel proud off.”

Director Radhakrishna (Krish) concluded by saying, “Keeravani wrote four mind-blowing songs. Seetarama Sastry also penned wonderful lyrics for a song. The main theme of this film is how people like caterpillars will change as butterflies. When approached to act in this film, Manoj instantly agreed for it even without asking for a script. Anushka is playing the prostitute by name Saroja. She lived in the character and emoted her feelings perfectly. Though I was little scared to narrate the story to Manoj Bajpai, he also agreed to do after listening to the story. I happened to meet Nagayya while searching for a person to do a tall old man role. There are several meanings for ‘Vedam’ like ‘Dhyanam’, ‘Gnyanam’, etc. We are releasing the film on May 20th.”
