Balakrishna’s Simha’, directed by Boyapati Sreenu under Parachuri Kireeti’s United Movies banner has successfully completed 50 Days of its run. On this occasion the unit celebrated the grand event on June 23rd at Marriot Hotel in Hyderabad. While Dr Dasari Narayana Rao was the chief guest of the function, other prominent guests were Nandamuri Balakrishna, Namitha, Jr NTR, Kalyan Ram, Tarakaratna, KR Vijaya, Ram, Uday Kiran, Navdeep, Parachuri Gopalakrishna, Chakri, Rajitha, Sana, Parachuri Kireeti, Boyapati Sreenu and the entire team of ‘Simha’.

Addressing the gathering Dasari Narayana Rao said, “The success of ‘Simha’ does not belong to one segment of people but the entire Telugu film industry since everyone in the industry were expecting it to become a big hit. The man behind this success is the director who put in lot of efforts. Infact when he narrated me a few scenes during the making of this film I suggested him to shoot the film as it is. The flashback is like a backbone to the film. Both the characters played by Balakrishna are very different. I appreciate the director for penning the script with right visual sense. The success of this film has increased pressure on me now, as I am desperate to give a bigger hit than this. There are many wonderful roles awaiting for Balakrishna. KR Vijaya appeared on screen after a very long gap. Her dialogues in this film also added value. My best wishes to the entire team of ‘Simha’.”

Parachuri Gopalakrishna said, “This is yet another hit for Parachuri Brothers with Nandamuri family. We need not decide on what kind of films Balakrishna had to do. His hit films will tell what kind of roles will give success to Balakrishna. We are aware of his powerful punch dialogues in his past films and in this film too he had uttered a powerful dialogue. He is not only a good actor but also a handsome hero. His appearance with beard in the poster reminds me of his father. Now Dasari is designing a role in ‘Parama Veerachakra’ for Balakrishna that showcases NTR in him. People are longing to see Balakrishna in the mythological roles played by his father. This apart they are also longing to see him in a different place apart from films. I thank one and all who have come to attend this function and make it a grand success.”

Balakrishna said, “Simha has completed its 50 Days run with record collections and moving ahead for 100 days. The audiences are the main reason for this huge success. This film indicates that the audience will always appreciate good films. With the blessings of my favourite God, this film had become such a big hit. People were amazed to see me the roles that I never did it before. The credit for the success of this film goes to the director. He is sure to earn many awards and rewards in the near future. I should also appreciate Chakri for provided excellent music. Lyricists have penned wonderful and apt suitable lyrics. The success of music has given the signal that the film would also become successful. The heroines Nayantara, Namitha and Sneha Ullal have done their best in their respective roles, especially Namitha was excellent in her bubbly kind of role. I never get the thought that I’m a hero in the film but I only concentrate on the character I’m doing. I have a special place for KR Vijaya who worked with my father. Her dialogues in this film have added value to the film. I once again thank the audience for making ‘Simha’ a grand success.”

“I missed the chance of working with Balakrishna garu in the year 2002. But I finally made my dream come true through ‘Simha’. Balakrishna garu is a self-disciplined man and has a beautiful heart. He likes to maintain punctuality. I thank my director for my well designed character. I am dedicating this success to the audience,” said Namitha.

NTR while speaking, “We, the fans of Balakrishna wished for the success of ‘Simha’ along with the unit members and the industry people. I thank the producer for giving such a huge hit to Balayya Baabai.”

“I thank the producer and director for giving such a wonderful role in Simha. My special thanks to Balakrishna and my other co-artists too”, said KR Vijaya.

Uday Kiran said, “I worked for ‘Gunde Jhallumandi’ film under this banner. Balakrishna garu gave the biggest hit to the Telugu Film Industry through Simha’. My best wishes to the entire team of Simha.”

Ram commented that it is possible only for Balakrishna to give such a huge hit.

Navdeep commented that Balakrishna showed the power of Telugu cinema through ‘Simha’.

Later Balakrishna along with his team cut the cake to mark the 50 Days run.
