Jagapathi Babu’s new film titled ‘Kshetram’ was launched on November 17th at Annapurna studios, Hyderabad. Dr D Ramanaidu graced the function and sounded the clap board. The director of the movie is T Venu Gopal and the producer is G Govindarajulu.
Later in the press meet Parachuri Gopalakrishna said, “Venugopal made his debut as actor in ‘Prayathnam’ and now he has penned a story on his own to direct this film. He is already ready with two versions. Jagapathi Babu is playing a different role in this film. Director will showcase why and how the passion is born. This will become a very good movie.”
Director Venugopal said, “I’m known to all as an actor, therefore I wanted to prove myself as a director. I spent 4 years to write and complete this story. Jagapathi Babu is the aptly suitable hero for this story. Jagapathi Babu will have 7 sisters in the flashback story.”
Producer Govindarajulu informed that the regular shooting will begin on December 10th and complete the talkie part by February 25th. Later the songs will be picturised at overseas and release the film in April.”
Jagapathi Babu informed that for the first time he is doing a film on Rayalaseema backdrop.
