Allu Arjun-Tamannah starrer ‘Badrinath’, directed by V V Vinayak and produced by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts banner was released on June 10th. A success meet was held at Cinemax today, the 17th of June. Allu Aravind, V V Vinayak, Allu Arjun, Tagore Madhu, Ananth Sai, Chandra Bose, Visu, Gautham Raju, etc., participated.
Allu Aravind said, “Many have called and congratulated the director after I announced the film’s gross 4 days ago. While ‘Magadheera’ is the first highest grosser, ‘Badrinath’ proved to be the 2nd highest grosser in the 1st week collections. The film collected Rs 28.25 crores in 7 days and its share is Rs 20.25 crores in AP while it is Rs 4.50 crores in Kerala and Karnataka together.”
Speaking further he said, “We found excellent team work while making the film. All this is due to director’s capability. ‘Badrinath’ being the story related to God, the director opined that the film should be a blend of action and devotion. Hence we went ahead to make this film as per the director’s suggestion. I thank the audience for watching the film.”
V V Vinayak said, “The film was extensively made since the producer was willing to spend the money on all aspects. Bunny’s body language is amazing in all action scenes. For that he took special training in martial arts in Vietnam. I observed that Bunny’s energy levels in this film were equal to that of Chiranjeevi garu in ‘Tagore’. I was a little disappointed when the film got the divided talk on the opening day because this is my dream project and efforts of 1 ½ years. But later felt very happy after seeing the gradual increase in the collections. The expectations among the audience rose after watching the trailers, hence they started comparing the film with ‘Magadheera’. These trailers were supposed to be released 3-4 weeks later. However the film is doing well despite the rains and reopening of colleges. I thank the music director, fight master and my entire team on this occasion.”
Allu Arjun said, “The director was shocked since the film got the divided talk on the opening day. I convinced him but I was very confident about the film because we all worked hard with sincerity. The director had put in lot of efforts so I was sure that the film will not disappoint anyone. The revenue of this film will cross the 1st week collections of all my films. After ‘Arya’, I wanted to do a mass film. Hence I chose to work with Vinayak. As expected I got the mass image through ‘Bunny’. Now the same director took me a step ahead through ‘Badrinath’. If the film fails, one cannot blame the director alone because everyone worked as a team and the entire team has to bare the responsibility. At one point of time I was unable to decide whether to choose cinema or Sneha. Because it was such a situation that if I get close to one, I may have to sacrifice the other. At that juncture I chose to go with films and the end result is the film became successful as well as I won Sneha too. So my message to the youth is we have to work hard to get what we want.”
All others also spoke to the media and expressed their happiness over the success of the film.
