Devaraya Muhurat

Srikanth’s new film titled ‘Devaraya’ under the direction of Nanikrishna was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The film will be jointly produced by Nanikrishna and Kiran Jakkam Shetty. For the muhurat shot Ram Charan Tej sounded the clap board while Chota K Naidu switched on the camera and VV Vinayak directed the first shot.

Later while speaking Srikanth said, “Devaraya is an imaginary story of 1500 year. Initially I was little doubtful whether I could do one such periodic film. However my confidence level has increased after ‘Sri Ramarajyam’. This movie has good entertainment along with two variations. I’m very lucky to get the opportunity to do the role of Sri Krishnadevaraya as well as a rich man. All of us need to put in lot of efforts for this film. We really need to work hard with complete dedication to make this film a grand success. Chakri provided excellent music with songs from all genres. This movie will definitely earn a good name to all of us.”

Director Nanikrishna said, “I prepared this script based on the story of Sri Krishna Devaraya in the sense of recollecting the saying ‘Desha Bhashalandu Telugu Lessa’. This film will depict Krishna Devaraya’s mannerisms, his humble nature and the beauty of Godavari. Every frame of the film will be very grand.”

Chakri said, “This is the first time I’m doing a film in this genre. I consider it as a good opportunity to do a film on the story of Sri Krishna Devarayalu. This film requires a different type of music. I hope that I will succeed in doing so. Srikanth is doing a dual role and both the roles will be very entertaining. I’m very happy to work with this team.”

Producer Kiran said, “I was impressed with the story narrated by the director. I thank Srikanth for making this film go on the sets. The 1st schedule will be completed by September 13th.”
