Shivaji Ganeshan's grandson Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon starrer ‘Gajaraju’ is the Telugu dubbed version of a Tamil movie 'Kumki' directed by Prabhu Solman. This movie was originally produced by N Linguswamy and Subhash Chandra Bose in Tamil. Bellamkonda Suresh and Bellamkonda Ganesh Babu are jointly bringing the film to the Telugu audience under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner with Linguswamy as its presenter. A press meet was organised today (December 4th) to announce the release date.
Bellamkonda Suresh, T E Gnanavel Raja, Linguswamy, Vikram Prabhu, director Prabhu Solman, Lakshmi Menon and Prabhu participated in the press meet.
Bellamkonda Suresh said, “Telugu audience have due respects for Shivaji Ganeshan and Prabhu. We are very happy to introduce Prabhu’s son to the Telugu film industry through our banner. Director Krishna Reddy directed the movie ‘Rajendrudu Gajendrudu’ on elephant backdrop. We are once again seeing a film on that backdrop after a long gap. Diector Prabhu picturised the scenes in beautiful locations. This movie reminds us of Shivaji Ganesan’s film ‘Aathmabanduvu’. I thank Linguswamy for giving me the opportunity to release this film in Telugu. We will release the audio on December 8th and the movie in 14th in Telugu and Tamil.”
Gnanavel said, “There is lot of expectations on the Tamil version of this film. We are releasing the same grandly on 14th in 400 theaters. Suresh garu also planned the release the Telugu version on the same day. We are very impressed with his publicity style for any movie.”
Prabhu said, “I hope the Telugu audience will bless my son and encourage him as much as they encouraged me and my father. Vikram wanted to become a director but turned hero. I’m confident that he will become successful.”
Vikram Prabhu said, “This is my first film as hero. I’m very happy for being introduced to the Telugu audience as well. I hope the audience will watch the film and encourage me.”
Linguswamy said, “The songs and visuals indicate that ‘Gajaraju’ will surpass ‘Awara’ in collections. There was tremendous response for the audio in Tamil. D Imaan provided wonderful music. I wish this movie will become a hit in telugu as well.”
Director Prabhu Solman said, “The Telugu audience have watched an enjoyed my movie ‘Prema Khaidi’ after which I’m doing this film. Great personalities like Shivaji Ganesan and K Vishwanath have inspired me to come into this industry. Therefore I wanted to follow their path always. I wish my movies to be on par with their standards. I thank Bellamkonda Suresh for releasing ‘Gajaraju’ in Telugu.”
