Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu Success Meet

Nani and Samantha starrer ‘Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu’, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon recently opened to theaters worldwide in Telugu and Tamil languages. C Kalyan is producing this film under Teja Cinema banner. Photos Khataas is the presenter. A success meet was organised today (December 17th) in Hyderabad. Gautham Menon, Nani, Samantha, C Kalyan, Kona Venkat, Anantha Sriram, Reshma and others participated.

Addressing the media director Nani said, “This movie is not meant for youth alone. Right from my uncle who watched the movie after many years to my niece who is not even 10 got connected to the film. My friends who said that the film was slow on the opening day have now seen for more than 4-5 times. I have never seen the response and hype that got for this film so far in my career. ‘Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu’ is the best example of the Telugu audience’s taste. The name and fame that Samantha and I earned through this film is entirely due to our director who trained us in detail. This movie will be a milestone movie in my career. I thank Gautham garu and C Kalyan garu for giving me such a wonderful film.”

Samantha said, “YVM is my second film in Gautham garu’s direction. I’m very happy that my second film in his combination also became a hit. I will not get to play a character like Nithya again. As an actress I feel proud to have done this role.”

Gautham Vasudev Menon said, “I’m very happy for the success of the film. Kona Venkat worked very hard and wrote wonderful dialogues. Story writer Reshmi and Venky have given me good moral support. Ilayaraja’s music inspired me a lot due to which I was able to utlise all my efforts. Nani and Samantha performed excellently. Samantha’s emotions are really wonderful. I thank C Kalyan garu for releasing the film in a big way. I wholeheartedly thank the Telugu audience for enjoying the film.”

Producer C Kalyan said, “I’m very happy for doing yet another super hit film after ‘Chandamama’. Nani went a step ahead as an actor through this film. Heroines like Samantha are very essential to the industry. The last 22 minutes of the film made the audience glued to their seats. The director’s brand was seen in every frame of the film. All distributors are also very happy. The film earned Rs 3 crores in 3 days in Nazam area. There is good response in other centers also. I’m confident that Nani and Samantha will win Best Actor awards.”

Kona Venkat said, “Many have opined that the movie is very slow. But it’s not true. How can a love story of 24 years shown in 2 ½ hours be slow. It touched deep into the audience’s heart. Nani’s performance is excellent. Samantha was very natural. Ilayaraja’s music was the soul to the film.”

Anantha Sriram said, “Gautham Menon fulfilled my two dreams. That is by giving opportunity to write all songs in the composition of A R Rahman and Ilayaraja. Only with the encouragement given by director Gautham Menon and Ilayaraja I was able to write good songs.”
