Pavithra Press Meet

Aadesh Films banner is coming up with a heroine centric film titled ‘Pavitra’ featuring Shriya Saran in title role and Kaushik in another key role. Janardhan Maharshi is directing the film with Karamsetty Sadak Kumar and Gurajala Maheshwara Reddy as joint producers. ‘Pavitra’ is scheduled for May 10th release. On this occasion, a press meet was organised to announce the release date. Shriya, AVS, Janardhan Maharshi, producers Gurajala Maheshwara Reddy, Karamsetty Sadak Kumar, Aravind, Pulivasu and other unit members attended the press meet.

Director Janardhan Maharshi said, “Devastanam won me lot of name, fame and awards. However I did not do this film with that spirit. The character ‘Pavitra’ is very bold as well as gold. Pooja Gandhi wanted to make this film in Kannada. The producers were quick enough to select Shriya soon after they listen to my storyline and my choice of heroine. Then I narrated the whole story to Shriya and convinced her. The story is about how a prostitute challenges a governor and wins a constituency where he orders her to leave a public meeting at one time. This incident which I read long ago has inspired me to crave it into a film. This film has given me complete job satisfaction of all my 90 films as writer.”

AVS said, “It’s needless to talk about the film when we see the director and producers being so happy after the arrival of the first copy. Similarly Parachuri Brothers needs no introduction. They also like stories written by Janardhan Maharshi. Shriya is the perfect actor for ‘Pavitra’. I saw the promos of this film along with director’s family members. This is definitely not the kind of film that earns money through Shriya’s exposing. Audience can see a new dimension in my character as well. ‘Pavitra’ will definitely take Janardhan Maharshi to the next level.”

Producers said, “We have been receiving good encouragement from AVS right from the beginning of this project. The recently released songs got good response. The theatrical trailers too are receiving good response. We are planning to release the film on May 10th. Our entire team that includes artists and technicians worked as a single family.”
