Dandupalyam 100 Days Function

‘Dandupalyam’ starring Ravi Shankar, Pooja Gandhi, Makarand Deshpande, Ravi Kale, Nisha Kotari, Raghu Mukherjee and Karri Subbu as main cast has successfully completed 100 days of its run in two theaters in Ongole and Guntur. Srinivasa Raju directed this movie while it was remade in Telugu by producer Venkat on Venkat Movies banner. Apple Blossoms presented the film. KRK Raju was the story assistant, Arjun Janya rendered the music and Venkat Prasad handled the camera. The 100 days function was held in Hyderabad on Friday where senior journalist Pasupuleti Rama Rao, B A Raju, Janardhan, Bhushan, poster designer Sai, Sekhar, story assistant KRK Raju, producer Venkat and director Srinivasa Raju were the prominent personalities in the 100 days function.

After the shields were presented to the film unit B A Raju said, “Dandupalyam completed 100 days in two theaters, one each in Ongole and Guntur. I’m glad to note the 100 days completion of this film at the time of 100 years of Indian Cinema.”

Producer Venkat said, “It’s very exciting and what a co-incidence. It’s 100 years for Indian Cinema and 100 days for our film. It’s very rare to see a film celebrating 100 days. I never imagined that I would see a 100 days film. I’m very excited even though it completed 100 days in two theaters. I thank AP audience for making it successful. We are doing a sequel for this film. I hope we will receive the same kind of encouragement for that film too. Our entire team worked very hard for this film. We are specially happy for the designs.”

Director Srinivasa Raju said, “I never expected that ‘Dadupalyam’ would be such a huge hit in Telugu like in Kannada. I was not keen in celebrating 100 days function for this film as only two theaters saw 100 days of this film. However, I later agreed to it after learning that our film has completed 100 days exactly at the time of 100 years of Indian Cinema. Very soon I will meet you all with another film. My aim is to do films in all genres.”

Poster designer Sai said, “I designed more than 300 designs for Kannada films. This is my first Telugu film. I’m basically a Telugu man. I’m very happy that my 1st Telugu film has completed 100 days. I entered this film industry with the intension of becoming a director. I was able to design good poster for this film only with the freedom given by director.”

Script assistant KRK Raju commented, “Dandupalyam has completed 100 days and became an inspiration for many small films. Srinivasa Raju did a dare feat with this film and enjoying the fruitful results for it. The audience can expect many more great films from our team.”
