Chitrangada Trailer Launch

Teaser launch event of Anjali’s ‘Chitrangada’ was held on Tuesday, i.e. on October 20 in Hyderabad. After scoring success with the film ‘Geetanjali’, heroine Anjali is playing the title role in this lady oriented film. Gangapatnam Sridhar is producing the film on Sri Vighnesh Karthik Cinema banner. Prominent director Ashok, who received critical acclaims through the film ‘Pilla Jamindar’, is directing this film.

Speaking at the teaser launch event, Anjali said, “After scoring success with the film ‘Geetanjali’, I’m playing the title role in this lady oriented film. ‘Chitrangada’ is not just a horror comedy genre film but it is a film of different genre with an ever touched point. 80 to 90% of the film was shot in America. Ten days shooting and songs are left to be canned. Visually and technically, the film is coming out wonderfully. My look will be very different. Producers are planning to release the film soon.”

Director Ashok briefed about the film details saying, “80% of the film’s shooting was took place in the beautiful locations in seven states of America as per the story requirement. After super hit film ‘Geetanjali’, heroine Anjali is playing the title role in this women centric film ‘Chitrangada’. She worked in the extreme cold weather conditions i.e. at minus 4 degrees Celsius in US for 40 days. She has lost 15 to 20 Kgs weight for this film. She did a full-fledged glamour role. I think this is the first time in the film industry that a son and father together provided music for a film. Selva Ganesh and Selva Swaminadhan have given wonderful music.

Producer Gangapatnam Sridhar said, “‘Chitrangada’ is my fourth film. After listening to the script, we felt that Anjali is perfectly apt to the story and we approached her. She was very impressed by the script narrated by Ashok and immediately given green signal to act in this. She acted in the film with commitment. Director Ashok is crafting the film wonderfully without compromising. We are very confident that the film will become big success.”

Anjali, Sindhu Tolani, Sapthagiri, Raksha, Raja Ravindra, Jyothi and Sakshi Gulati are playing key roles in the film.
