Akhil Success Meet

Youngest scion of Akkineni family Akhil Akkineni's debut film ‘Akhil’ has been released on November 11 as Diwali treat. ‘The Power of Jua’ is the tag line. Beautiful and gorgeous Sayesha Saigal, the grandniece of living legend Dilip Kumar, has made her Tollywood debut through this film. The other prominent cast in the film includes Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vennela Kishore and Sathagiri. Sensational director VV Vinayak has directed this action packed film. The film was produced by Youth Star Nithiin and his father N Sudhakar Reddy under his home banner Sreshth Movies with Nikitha Reddy as presenter. Meanwhile, the film unit has arranged success meet on Thursday evening i.e. on November 12 in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the success meet, Nagarjuna said, “Akhil was very well received by audience. Amala and I ae very happy. We are receiving many phone calls since yesterday appreciating Akhil. Thanks to everyone. It’s a surprise that the first day share is Rs. 10 Crores. As a father I’m so proud of my son. VV Vinayak garu has taken Akhil to B and C classes with the very first film. Though she don’t know Telugu, Sayesha Saigal has given wonderful performance. I’m thankful to the Telugu audience from all over the world for encouraging ‘Akhil’. Akhil’s voice is also very impressive. I was surprised by seeing his dances. Amala is a good dancer. I think her genes were added to him. ‘Akhil’ is a fantastic production. Cameramen also presented the film wonderfully. Background score is very impressive. Songs are receiving tremendous response. A scene in which Akhil runs on the roof and another scene in which Akhil waiting for Sayesha Saigal, both are very impressive.”

VV Vinayak said, “’Akhil’ has got extraordinary openings. It has given me immense happiness. Akhil and Sayesha Saigal have given excellent performances. Nagarjuna’s presence in the film has received well by the audience. Though he did it for fun, it became big help for our film. It’s a great thing that the film has got Rs 10 Crores openings. Everyone is discussing about Akhil’s dances and locations. We have shot the film in different climatic conditions. Audience are enjoying the comedy.”

On this occasion, Nithin said, “I’m thankful to the audience for making the film a big hit. Akhil is like my younger brother. It’s not a simple thing to collect Rs 9.8 Crores for a debut hero. The film is becoming strong in B and C centres. We are very happy that Nagarjuna garu kept faith on our banner and given us the opportunity to launch Akhil. Akhil did a cameo in ‘Manam’ and acquired the credit. In this film, Nagarjuna appeared some time and bagged the credit. I’ve watched the song, in which Nagarjuna appeared, for 10 times.”

Vennela Kishore said, “I did a full-fledged roles in this film. I’ll appear in a super fun role. It has increased my followers in Twitter and Facebook.”

Sudhakar Reddy said, “9.8 Crores share for the first day is the main reason for arranging this success meet. Thanks to Nagarjuna garu for trusting us and given us the opportunity to launch Akhil. Akhil has done the underwater episode with courage in one day. We spent 25 lakhs for that sequence for one day. Akhil dubbed his voice within 25 hours. He has given wonderful performance in emotional scene with Rajendra Prasad also. Sayesha Saigal learned Telugu. Nagarjuna’s appearance reverberated theaters.”
