A Shyam Gopal Varma Film Muhurat

With Shafi in central role, a new film titled ‘A Shyam Gopal Varma Film’ was launched in Hyderabad today. The tagline of the film is ‘Na Cinema Na Ishtam’. Rakesh Srinivas is directing this film. Zoya Khan is the leading lady. Vijay Kumar Raju and Rakesh Srinivas are jointly producing this film on Samishti Creations banner. Producer designer Subba Reddy sounded the clap board, while Vivek Krishna switched on the camera.

Director Rakesh Srinivas said, “I belong to a software field. I along with Vijaykumar Raju established a banner called ‘Samishti’ only with the intention of providing new conceptual movies to the audience. This movie is our first attempt. Hero in this film is a director. What achievement did a director make or what he lost by directing blood-shed movies is the story concept. The movie will be made as a satirical thriller. Shafi is playing the title role. This film will showcase the new shade of Shafi. The movie is not being made to hurt anyone’s feelings. However going by the title, the audience must understand on who this satirical movie is based on.”

Producer Vijaykumar Raju said, “We have established this banner only to provide good films to the audience. This is the first film on our banner. Regular shooting will begin from December first week. We are planning to release the film for summer.”

Shafi said, “This story has good scope for performance. I’m very happy to do a film of this kind.”
