'One by Two' 20 Years Celebrations

Charita Chitra’s ‘One By Two’ starring Srikanth and J D in central roles which was directed by Siva Nageswara Rao with Tammareddy Bharadwaja as producer has successfully completed 20 years of its release on Tuesday. On this occasion the film unit cut the cake and celebrated it in Hyderabad.

In a press meet held on Tuesday writer cum actor Tanikella Bharani said, “Janardhan Maharshi penned the story for this film and I wrote the dialogues. I’m a great fan of Suryakantham garu. I created a character for her and convinced her to do it. Her role was shot for two days. I played a villain in this film and Bikshu was my assistant. I’m happy as well as surprised for I couldn’t believe that the film has completed 20 years. It’s really nice to recollect those memories in this function.”

Director Siva Nageswara Rao said, “I got introduced to Bharadwaja garu at the time of ‘Kothala Rayudu’ movie. I worked as an assistant to his production venture ‘Jagannadh Rathachakralu’. He was happy with my sincerity and promised me a film under his banner and that was ‘One By Two’. Vidhya Sagar’s music was the highlight of the film. Babu Mohan and Sudhakar were also two main attractions.”

Janardhan Maharshi said, “One By Two was my first film. Right from that film, I’ve written scripts for 100 films in these 20 years. I thank Bharadwaja garu for giving me such a good opportunity. I’m very happy for being associated with such a good film.”

J D Chakravarthy said, “Bharadwaja garu watched the film ‘Money’ and offered me the role in ‘One By Two’. Both the films were good hits. I’m very glad to celebrate the function today by recollecting those memories.”
