SSR Cinemas’ ‘Kulfi’ starring Jai and Swathi Reddy in the lead is the dubbed version of Tamil comedy thriller ‘Vadacurry’. Bollywood’s hot actress Sunny Leone is being introduced in the south through this film. Tamil director Venkata Prabhu is playing a key role. Music is rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja while S Venkatesh handles the camera. The film will be released in Tamil and Telugu at the same time. Producer Narasimha Reddy, who’s bringing this film to the Telugu audience organized a press meet to brief the film’s details.
Producer Narasimha Reddy said, “Kulfi is the first film on our banner. We are dubbing the Tamil film ‘Vadacurry’ as ‘Kulfi’ in Telugu. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone will be introduced to the Telugu audience through this dubbed film. We are planning to release the audio on June 2nd. ‘Kulfi’ is a romantic thriller. Very soon, I’m planning to come out with a straight Telugu film.”
Director Saravana Rajan said, “Kulfi is a love cum romantic thriller on cellphone backdrop. We are releasing the film in Telugu and Tamil at a time. There are altogether six songs in the film. Sunny Leone’s item song will be the main highlight.”
Krishna Teja commented, “This film will give the audience the feel of eating a kulfi. The screenplay as well as the songs are very unique. This is Sunny Leone’s first film in the south. It’s the story about how a hero faces problems with the idea of buying an iphone.”
The casting also features Kasturi, Nisha Gopal and Arul Daas.
