On Sunday evening i.e. on March 12, audio launch event of ‘Saranam Gacchami’ was held in a grand level at Prasad Lab Preview Theater in Hyderabad. Telangana Minister of Information Technology, Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, graced the event as chief guest and launched the audio CDs. The event took place in the presence of large number of audience and some prominent people of the film industry and political leaders have attended the function.
The film is being produced by Bommaku Murali and directed by Prem Raj under Bommaku Creations banner. As the film is set in the backdrop of reservation system, it was rejected by censor board members. Director Prem Raj made great effort to achieve rights to release the film. Finally with the support of Telangana government, the film will be released soon.
Addressing the gathering, KTR said, “Director Prem Raj has inspired Telangana activists with his lyrics when they were gloomy during Telangana Movement. Even though, he has good connection with me, he never asked my help. He has made a good film ‘Saranam Gacchami’ with a great intention. He will get full support from our Telangana government and me. I will take personal care regarding tax and subsidy. I wish the film will become big success and the success will boost him to make many more good films in future.”
Speaking on the occasion, director Prem Raj said, “Yet after so many years of independence, Dalits are facing oppression. ‘Saranam Gacchami’ came out from that fire. The film is heartbeat of Dalits. I will be indebted to the producer Bommaku Murali forever for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to direct this film.”
Producer Bommaku Murali, who also provided story and screenplay to the film, said, “Even though, I don’t have much knowledge on film industry, I came here with some inspiration. We have developed a script on reservation system. The film is being made in such a way that it will impress youth as well as senior citizens. Our film which was banned by censor board members got support from KTR garu and it has boosted our confidence levels. We are extremely confident that ‘Saranam Gacchami’ will impress everyone.”
