Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas has played the role of a hero in 'Alludu Adhurs', the family entertainer releasing on January 14. In this interview, he talks about the film at length.

After 'Rakshasudu', I wanted to do a performance-oriented film that challenges me. Santosh Srinivas anna happened to narrate a line to me two weeks before a film of mine was supposed to go on the floors. I loved the mix of horror and family entertainment. I came on board immediately. After August 2019, I kept listening to stories for three months.

Doing 'Alludu Adhurs' was an energetic experience. I didn't rehearse much and went to the sets with full of josh. The title is apt for the story. Prakash Raj garu has played the uncle's character. The title was the director's idea. It caught my imagination as soon as he suggested it.

The director worked really very hard all through. Hats off to him. There is no villainism as such in the movie. Yes, there is action. But it is all stylish. The villains are not wild but fun types. This is a heroic commercial entertainer.

Anu Emmanuel will surprise you with her character. Hats off that she agreed to play the role. Nabha Natesh is highly energetic. She drinks a lot of coffee.

Soon after the trailer was out, distributors felt that our movie should come out on Sankranthi and not later. They told us that 'Alludu Adhurs' is the true Sankranthi entertainer. That's why we advanced the film from Jan 15 to 14.

Telugu cinema is the only industry that has had these many movie releases post lockdown. In Tamil, only the likes of Vijay have seen movie releases.

During the lockdown, I enjoyed eating my mother's food. My brother, too, enjoys cooking food. After the lockdown was lifted, I played sports with my friends in my farmhouse. We would play a lot and eat a lot.

I know speaking and reading Hindi. I will have to take some training before the shoot of 'Chatrapathi' remake in Hindi. We are going to erect sets in Hyderabad for the movie. We will also shoot in Mumbai. I always like to be challenged. I will work hard and I know there will be comparisons. I will do the role in my own style. The Telugu film was 2 hr 45 minutes. We will trim it, as the Bollywood audience like crisper movies. The plan is to do it as a pan-India movie, given that 'Chatrapathi' is rich in emotions.
