Jaya Prada Press Meet for Local TV

Yester year actress turned politician Jaya Pradha will be hosting a talk show called ‘Jayapradam’ on Local TV channel this week onwards. On this eve the Local TV channel organized a press meet at Film Nagar Cultural Centre. The press meet was attended by Local TV CEO Vishnuvardhan Induri, Jaya Pradha, her brother Siddharth and Managing Director Swapna Dutt.

Addressing the media Vishnuvardhan said, “We have launched the Local TV 18 months ago. ‘Jayapradham’ is the result of a desire to do a big programme before the 2nd anniversary. And we felt Jayapradha participation would further glorify the programme.”

Jayapradha said, “This is a special moment for me. Though I started my career in Telugu, I moved a bit away from Andhra and did quite a few Bollywood films. But it is the Telugu industry which has thought me the basics of acting which I could exhibit in 8 different languages. I’ve no qualms in doing any kind of roles. Infact even when I was at the peak of my career I did different roles even like mother, grandmother without any second thought. If there is a chance for me to do a role similar to the one in ‘Sagara Sanghamam’ I would always love to jump in. Whether it is silver screen or small screen or for that matter even politics I always aimed at being nearer to the people.”

Further speaking she said, “I was a proud guest of the opening ceremony of this TV channel which was declared open by late CM Dr Rajasekhar Reddy and now I’m happy to do a programme in the same channel after almost two years. It’s with the efforts of Swapna the channel has grown in stature and is now one among the admired channels. Swapna’s father Aswini Dutt is a very respectable person who has a special place for me. He has guided me in my career and I had done many movies under his direction. It is an opportunity for me to repay my respects by doing this programme. It’s a thrilling experience to interview the directors under whom I acted. Not only the established directors like K Vishwanath and Dasari Narayana Rao, but also the present generation actors like NTR and Ram Charan Tej

MD Swapna said, “:’I’m very happy to work with an actress who belongs to my father’s generation. When I approached her to do the programme she was kind enough to agree for the same. I could really find the reasons for her being at the helm as a sincerity and commitment towards the assignment. This sort of quality programme by “Vyjayanthi” could be made possible by the contribution such greats like Jayapradha.”
