Malaka Spice is a theme restaurant inspired by the unique Southeast Asian cuisine from the countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and Cambodia. It brings back the flavours that were historically thriving around the Strait of Malacca, during the medieval age when it was a flourishing trade center.

Malaka Spice began its modest but visionary voyage two decades ago with the out pouring of the passion of Cheeru Chandawarkar, for innovative cuisine, in the by lanes of Koregaon Park, Pune. She was later joined by her husband Praful Chandawarkar, an accomplished investment banker, to propel the business to a higher orbit. Malaka Spice has since been spreading the aroma of its mouth watering cuisines by setting sight on horizons beyond Pune, where ithas three popular joints attracting foodies from far and wide.
Cheeru travelled extensively across Southeast Asia, picked the best aspects of each region thereand tossed them together into a set of carefully developed recipes. Each meal at Malaka Spice is therefore an out of the world gastronomical odyssey and each dish is a living tribute to the founders' Praful and Cheeru Chandawarkar's relentless efforts to innovate in the realm of South-East Asian cuisine.
The brand Malaka Spice has now expanded to 3 more cities of Nashik, Panjim and Hyderabad, within all 6 restaurants. Malaka Spice, Hyderabad is the biggest restaurant so far in the chain.
