Hyderabad, 1st November, 2017- Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC), Hyderabad has a remarkable short history of seventeen years of excellence with numerous accreditations since its inception in year the 2001. GNITC has been accredited twice by NBA and NAAC. The institute has presently 448 faculty members, 7000 students in Engineering, Pharmacy and Management from all over the globe with more than 200 foreign students from 14 countries Afghanistan, South Sudan, Nepal etc. The institute has around 2000 students and 50 faculty members residing at lush green serene campus.
Accreditation is an official certification for an Institution or Program which has met the standards set and verified by external regulators from Statuary bodies. This has become an essential part of quality audit process for Private Engineering colleges. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an organization that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions in India. It is an autonomous body funded by University Grants Commission, Government of India headquartered in Bangaluru. GNITC was awarded A+ grade with 3.53 marks out of 4 by the expert committee member headed by Dr. G Gopalakrishnan(Chairperson) Former Vice Chancellor , Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute, Chennai, Prof. (Dr.) Jagathy Raj V. P. (Member Co-ordinator) Professor, School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochin, Dr. Vilas V. Karjinni (Member) Principal, Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering, Gokul - Shirgoan, Kolhapur. This is a rare fete for any engineering institution as GNITC becomes the only institution in Telangana state to be awarded this score till date by NAAC.
The NAAC expert committee has specially applauded the institute for:
- Autonomous status of the college helps to develop and modify the curriculum as per the Industry requirements.
- Institute offers 7 UG and 3 PG programmes , 5UG programmes are accredited by NBA.
- Excellent Infrastructure facilities
- Established Institution based IT Park (DECODE) in the campus, Innovation Centre and 11 Centre of Excellence.
- MOUs with seven Foreign Universities.
- Collaborative research activities with research originations of higher learning like IITs andNITs
The team also appreciated the higher academic orientation of the institution by conducting four international conferences every year by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information technology and School of Pharmacy. Peer reviewed Journal in the UGC list of Journals published by Department of ECE and CSE and Journals published by School of Pharmacy and IT were also appreciated.
The industry oriented Innovation centers in field of Robotics, Solar Applications, Big Data, Mobile Computing, 3D printing and numerous research centers at department levels also got appreciation
