Hyderabad, 8th January, 2018: Students from Indus international School, Oakridge International and Joy Kids School Children underwent history lessons on a practical note, thanks to the Krishnakriti School Outreach program that was organized at State Art Gallery on Monday.
For those used to globes, charts and maps, this exercise enlightened them about the resourcefulness of flags of varying kinds. To the organizers it was a major hit as the students were not only attentive to the lectures but also enthusiastic in seeking clarifications and getting their doubts cleared.
The Space, Time & Place, The culture of Indian Maps was received with verve by the boys and girls even as Prashant Lahoti gave historical perspectives about the ageless maps that form part of his amazing collection of maps.
In all, 70 select Indian Historical Maps (1482-1912) were displayed at the State Art Gallery.
After going through the exhibits, the students participated in a workshop on paintings with equal enthusiasm.
