Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (A State Govt. Undertaking) was setup in the year 2015 under Companies Act, 2013 with an objective of Promotion, Development and Marketing of Artistic Handicrafts and Textiles and welfare of about more than One Lakh crafts persons working in different craft pockets spread all over Telangana State.
As a part of Marketing Support to the artisans of the State, the Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited would be organizing number of marketing events such as Craft Bazaars, Gandhi Shilp Bazaars, Exhibitions etc within and outside the State to provide direct Marketing support by inviting craft persons from all over the State for display-cum-sale of their products. The present event Golkonda Handicrafts & Textiles Exhibition which is being organized at NTR Stadium, Near Indira Park, Hyderabad from 16th February, 2018 to 25* February, 2018 jointly by Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation and Ministry of Textiles, Govt, of India by inviting craft persons from all over India. The main objective of organizing the present Golkonda Handicrafts & Textiles Exhibition is to popularize the crafts and textiles of Telangana State and other regions among the art lovers / public of Hyderabad and create platform for artisans to sell their products among public as well as develop market linkages with Public / Private emporia for future supplies.

Around 120 artisans / weavers are expected to participate in the Golkonda Handicrafts & Textiles Exhibition from all over the country. Besides Golkonda Handicrafts & Textiles Exhibition, there would also be separate pavilion for live demonstration in traditional crafts by Master Craftsmen of Telangana State to coincide with this Handicrafts & Textiles Exhibition. Sri Bollam Sampath Kumar Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman, TSHDC Ltd will inaugurate this Exhibition on 16.02.2018 and will also distribute “State Awards-2016” to the Master Craftsmen of Telangana State.
