Italian NGO Care&Share Italia, supporting marginalised children in India, appoints Indian actor Kabir Bedi as its Global Ambassador
Hyderabad, 4th January 2019: Care&Share Italia - an Italian NGO, supporting marginalised children in India through its "Street2School" initiative, has announced the appointment of the famously talented and internally acclaimed Indian actor Mr. Kabir Bedi as its Global Ambassador. .Care&Share's President Mr. Tomaso Carraro announced this on Friday at a Press Conference in Hyderabad, where Mr Kabir Bedi was also present.
Care&Share Italia was founded in 1991 with the aim of supporting marginalized children in India. Through child sponsorship and international cooperation projects, Care&Share provides access to quality education to more than 1500 vulnerable children and the possibility to continue their studies up to university. Care&Share strongly believes that education is the only tool through which an individual can autonomously break the cycle of poverty. For this reason, it supports and invests in the talent of children living in difficult circumstances so that they can access primary and secondary education and complete university even if they do not have the means to afford it.
"This day, with Kabir Bedi coming on board as our official Global Ambassador, marks an important day for Care&Share. In Kabir, we found foremost a friend, before an Ambassador. A person who has embraced our motto "Street2School", which represents our commitment to the children and their communities" says Tomaso Carraro.
Earlier on 3rd January 2019, Kabir Bedi and Tomaso Carraro, inaugurated a new Child Care Center in the slum of Sainagar Huts in Hyderabad, a project in which Care&Share invests and believes a lot. Heartfelt thanks to our team in-charge of Street2School India operations and to our partner NGO MARI for making it possible. It is a humble initiative, but makes a lot of difference in the lives of the young children residing in the slum. We endeavour to keep the kids away from the street and the unhygienic situation and bring them to school. By doing so, we will protect these children from illiteracy and child labour. A guaranteed right to education with this small and safe house to bring them from street to school!
