Hyderabad, 19th July 2019: Hyderabad's premier shopping extravaganza - Deep Mela is inaugurated today by Smt. Jayanti Reddy - Renowned Fashion Designer, Sri. Manicka Raj Kannan - IAS, Sri. Vinod Agarwal IAS at Hail no 3, Hitex Exhibition Center. The 3 Days of Deep Mela will continue from Friday, 19th July 2019 to Sunday, 21st July 2019 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Deep Mela is a fund-raising event being conducted regularly by Deepshikha Mahila Club, a premier voluntary and social welfare organization of the twin cities for the past over 2 decades with spectacular success and has now grown into the most- awaited exhibition by the elite Hyderabadi's. The funds raised from the Mela are used in funding our various projects, mainly our adopted Kanya Gurukul High School.
Deep Mela is a 3-day event showcasing and encouraging the women who work from their homes to be able to sell what they produced whether they were art objects, knitted wear, crocheted items, embroidered things or homemade things like Papad, Pickles, Vadis, Churans, etc.
The other products like Apparel & Clothing, fabulous holiday gift ideas, Jewellery and accessories, home appliances, decor products, cosmetics and beauty products, Food & Beverage, Garments, Handbags etc. in the Consumer & Carnivals industry. Demonstrations during the Mela are also held like styles in Saree Draping, Gift Wrapping, Candle making, make up, etc.

Deepshikha Mahila Club is the premier voluntary and social welfare organization of the twin cities. Established in 1965, with a history of over 50 years, their motto is "Service to Humanity is Service to God". Philanthropy, Education, Healthcare and Empowerment through skill development are among the multifarious activities undertaken by the Club. The Deepmela is used to fund the on-going charitable activities of the Club, including the running of the 1200-strong Kanya Gurukul High School, Junior College and Vocational College at Ameerpet in Hyderabad.
Deepshikha Mahila Club is a leading philanthropic organization with a strength of about 150 members. It has adopted the Kanya Gurukul High School at Ameerpet, Hyderabad, under its wings, where education is imparted to over 1200 girl students. The curriculum covers education up to Junior College level and a Vocational training centre that empowers young women from financially weaker sections of society. The centre trains them in skills such as tailoring, embroidery, computer science, pre-primary teachers' training courses, para-medical and office-assistant courses. Deepshikha has always come forward to help in humanitarian causes, such as heart surgery for underprivileged children, extending support to families affected by floods, sending help to the soldiers at the Kargil Front and providing Artificial Limbs to more than 100 physically challenged people. These are only a few of the causes which DEEPSHIKHA was involved in.
