Hyderabad, October 21, 2019: Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO), today organised an interactive session with Rhea Kapoor, well known Stylist, Producer, Enterpreneur, Social Media Influencer, Cover Girl and Master of all trades for their members here in the city today at Hotel Grand Kakatiya. She was incoversation with Ms. Malliha Fatima
Welcoming the gathering, Ms. Shilpa Datla, Chairperson of Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) said we Water so many hats and do multi tasking. Especially we women play many roles. And I was just thinking how we do so many roles and become a multi-faceted personality. There are so many personalities we have personally, socially and professionally get involved. Of course we do try our best, but there are some people who do it remarkably well. We have the good fortune of having one such persona with us today. Rhea Kapoor, our today’s speaker needs no introduction, but her abilities need to be spoken about, considering they are so many, added Shilpa.
Rhea Kapoor is the daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and Sunita. And she is the sister of Sonam Kapoor. She pursued her graduation in “Dramatic Literature” from New York University in USA.
I am Anil Kapoor’s daughter. I am Lucky to have born in that family. But, I must earn respect on my own, she stated while interacting with 150 members of YFLO.
I was Lucky because of the family; I could become a producer at the age of 21. Luck has played a huge role in my life and success. Other it is not possible for fir the 21 years old to produce a movie, Rhea shared.
At 62, my father works like a machine. Both my parents keep fit, work hard to give us the life they wanted. If they worked this hard to bring us up, then if I don’t take a risk in life there is no meaning, she said giving her opinion about risk taking in life. I want to make my father proud.
The ultimate rule breaking fashionista of Bollywood, Rhea while talking about how Indian women innocently go on fasting for the long life of their husbands, she said that she not that sort of a lady. When I am married, if my husband wants a long life, let him go to Gym rather than making his wife do Karwa Chauth.
Speaking about Leadership qualities, she said, when I was young I used to practice forget and forgive. But, now as 32 years old, I don’t do that. If somebody is bad to me or to the company we have no business to work with him. I was over nice to everybody, but not any longer now, she confessed.
The advice she gave to youth who aspire to become an actor or actress and get into acting, she said it is tough. For a billion population, there are few hundred film stars. It is very tough to become a film star in that competition. If you are still interested then get yourself admitted in a tough acting school, go through tough training regime and if your are still interested then pursue that career, she advised.
Commenting on the future of Home grown Fashion she said some designers in the west invented their own fabric. Indians must update or else we lose relevance, she shared.
I don’t know why women want to hide their body. When you have such a good body, show it. I don’t subscribe to the philosophy of wearing such clothes that cover your body.
I can’t live without taking care of myself. I value myself the most. So, she advised her audience to put themselves first before their family, friends and others. Take time out for yourself, she told them.
What do you struggle the most now? I struggle out to stay young, make films, holiday four times a year and staying single and chill out. But, unfortunately I have committed now, she shared.
I like Anushka Shetty’s style. I want to style lot of young girls, she said
