On 8th November, 2021, Telangana Social Impact Group (TSIG), the CSR Cell of the Telangana Government organised the ‘T-SIG COVID-19 Warriors Event’ at HICC, Hyderabad. The event recognized people who have extended COVID-19 Relief to those affected in 2020 and 2021.
Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, Minister of IT, Industries, MA&UD, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan IAS, Principal Secretary, ITE&C and Dept of Industries, and Mr. Sonu Sood, noted philanthropist and artist, honoured 12 Corporates, 26 NGOs, 29 Exceptional Individuals and 6 Enablers, in-person. Nearly 850 entities and individuals will also be acknowledged through e-certificates.
Speaking at the event, Mr. KT Rama Rao said, “I congratulate Telangana Social Impact Group (TSIG) for recognising entities and individuals who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic. This crisis has also revealed the most empathetic amongst us and my wishes to all who have been recognised.”
Noted philanthropist and Artist, Mr. Sonu Sood said, “While the country battled an invisible and deadly enemy, these soldiers of humanity were at the forefront, leading the good fight, putting others before themselves. Congratulations to the Government of Telangana for the initiative and Team Telangana Social Impact Group (TSIG) for organising this wonderful event.”
Mr. Jayesh Ranjan said, “This event is a recognition of the many unsung heroes who have risen to the occasion when humanity was facing a crisis. We hope that people will continue to extend support to various sections of society, with unified effort.”
Established in 2018, Telangana-Social Impact Group (T-SIG), is Telangana’s official Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform. T-SIG works extensively with a host of Corporates, NGOs, Government departments and with officials in the District Administration in the State. T-SIG has the largest impact network in the state and offers pro-bono services to various stakeholders apart from offering specific services to Corporates such as Impact Assessment reports and Project evaluation reports.
