Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences - Pink Ribbon Walk 2010

Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation in association with US Consulate General, Hyderabad organised the Pink Ribbon Walk 2010 from KBR Park to Jubilee Hills check post from 6 a.m. onwards today i.e on October 3, 2010.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao declared open a Pick Ribbon Walk. Commissioner AK Khan, Aditi Chengappa, Fitness Trainer Dinaz have participated in this event. This walk was well supported by corporate firms of international repute. Apart from the general public a large number of breast cancer survivors also participated in the walk.

The CEO of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, Dr P Raghuram speaking on the occasion said, “This programme is conceived by the foundation to create breast cancer awareness among the people. Early detection of breast cancer can always save the lives. It is very important that after the age of 40, the women should undergo mammogram once in a year so that the problems if any are detected and corrective actions are taken. It is also nice to see the participation from American consulate to create awareness among people.”
