Santosham Awards 2010 Presentation (Set 2)

The Santosham Film Weekly Magazine has successfully completed 9 years. The Santosham awards function which began in 2003 is the 8th awards function this year. The 2011 Santosham Film Awards was held on August 6th at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad. The grand and glittering event was attended by the who’s who of Tollywood industry. The award function started off with some sizzling performances by heroines like Namitha, Swetha Basu Prasad and many others. Writer cum director Bapu was felicitated. Dr Ramanaidu honoured him with a shawl, while Kodi Ramakrishna presented him a memento and Edidha Nageswara Rao presented a felicitation certificate.

Later Dr Ramanaidu said that Bapu was to do a film under Suresh Productions but the idea did not materialize because he had shifted to Hyderabad and that Bapu was busy in Chennai. According to him Brahmanandam earned his image through Suresh Productions’ ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’.

Kodi Ramakrishna and Edidha Nageswara Rao have expressed their happiness for felicitating Bapu.

Dr Brahmanandam commented that he had been receiving this award for past 4 years.

Dr Srihari said, “This award function is being held on the eve of completion of 9 years of Santosham Weekly Magazine. Suresh came up in life with great hard work, started a week magazine and completed 9 years successfully. I wish this award function will continue like this every year.”

Allu Aravind said, “It’s a tough task to organize this award function every year by a single person. Suresh and I belong to Paalakollu. I congratulate him for successfully doing it.”

Sreenu Vaitla said, “I worked for only one film under EVV garu’s direction and learnt a lot during that time, I’m very happy to receive an award on the name of EVV garu from Balayya Babu.”

R Narayana Murthy commented, “The government did not recognize me, Suresh recognized me and gave this award. I therefore thank him on this occasion. I also congratulate all Nandi award winners.”

Ramajogayya Sastry expressed his happiness for receiving the Veturi award. Deva Katta congratulated Suresh Kondeti for completing 9 years and expressed his happiness for receiving the award for his film. Sai Kumar also expressed happiness for receiving the award from Balayya Babu and thanked Deva Katta for giving him the opportunity.
According to Boyapati Sreenu, giving an award is like recognizing the talent and not to satisfy anyone. He thanked Suresh on the occasion and said, “Suresh garu called me after watching ‘Simha’ on the first day of the release and said that I would get the best director award for the year 2010. And as he said the film got many awards.”

Balakrishna welcomed the gathering on the eve of Santosham magazine completing 9 years successfully. “I thank the jury members for selecting me for the best actor award. I received this award from everybody. I thank my unit members for receiving the award for the film ‘Simha’ and my special thanks to director Boyapati Sreenu. We are like day today necessities and it is the director who has the capacity to mould us accordingly. My blessings to producer Parachuri Kireeti. I congratulate Suresh Kondeti and wish that he should continue to run the magazine for many more years.”
