Antaram - A Dynamic Collage of Classical Dance and Theatre was held on Saturday at HICC. The program was Organised by Hydourite.

Antaramis a beautiful conglomeration of three different south Indian classical dance forms j depicting interesting stories of women from south India performed by Ms. Gopika Varma (Mohiniyattam), Ms. Yamini Reddy (Kuchipudi) Ms. Krithika Subramaniam (Bharatanatyam), weaved together with eloquent narratives by Suhasini Maniratnam.

This thematic dance theatre production presented the composite content of the 4 chosen characters - Rhamba, Vasavi, Kannagi and Andal, depicting divine feminine form powerfully.

The last element is the highlight of the show; it is the love story of a Srilankan dancer Rambha who is buried next to king Adil Shaw in Bijapur, Karnataka; Rambha literally flies up effortlessly in air like a bird, taking the audience along with her into a beautiful paradise of love and leaves the audience breathless and dumb founded as she comes down crashing onto the ground to prove her true love for her beloved; That was indeed a mind blowing power packed brave act of live performance using flying system on stage, Kudos to Suhasini Maniratnam for her innovative leap forward in her theatrical journey!!!

"Antaram" means both "Inside" and "distance", as the name goes, "Antaram" has been successful in not only conquering the "distance" between the audience and various dance forms, by using a wise mix of creativity and technology, visuals, stories, music, dance, play, narratives and great artists' crew, but also leaves an everlasting pleasant impression "inside" the hearts of audience of Telangana state. A feather to Hydourite's cap in bringing in world class innovative stage performance to the local audience.

Antaram is conceived by Gopika Varma, co produced by Krithika and Suhasini Maniratnam, supervised by Mr. Jayendra of Real Image, Kala master's dance skills, the music for the first three acts is composed by Mr. S Arun, the portions of Ms. Suhasini have the music of Shri A R Rehman.
