Rotathon 5K Walk

5K Walk—Rotathon held for a cause. Organised by Rotary International District 3150 the 5K walk "Uninor Rotathon" was held Sunday morning at People Plaza, Necklace Road city. This walk-Rotathon—Walk with Rotary for a cause was organized jointly by 31 Rotary clubs in the twin cities Hyderabad and Secunderabad for Total Literacy Mission.

The walk was a huge hit with hundreds joining the walk.

Cricketer VVS Laxman, the event ambassador in his video message said - Rotary has taken up 'Total Literacy mission' and as part of this Total Literacy Mission the Rotary District 3150 (Andhra and Telenganaj have organised Rotathon.

Actor Krishnudu said " I am happy to support this cause and be a part of Rotathon and urged people to aim for total literacy.

Rotarian Vinod Ranka welcomed everyone, Rotary District Governor Malladi Vasudev elaborated on the excellent work done by Rotary and its role in eradicating polio working since 1979. He gave an overview' of Total Literacy mission and the purpose of Rotathon. Rotarian Pravin Gupta mentioned about all places in Telangana and Andhra where the walk was happening simultaneously on Sunday. Rotarian Arpitha and Rotarian Anil explained about the objective and purpose of the walk.

Rotary leaders - Nitu Surana, Kama! Jain, Kamalakannan, Seshasai, Sudharshan, Sivakumar among other Rotarians participated in the walk
