FICCI Ladies Organisation(FLO) to organise a Discussion on "Empowering Women in our Circle of Influence" by Ratna Vira, Author of "Daughter By Court Order" here in city at Hotel Hyatt, Banjara Hills on February 19th, 2014. The meeting is open to members of the FLO.

With this event, FLO once again comes closer to fulfilling the mission of empowering women through access to training, exposure to global trends and contact with leaders at the cutting-edge of innovation and transformation informed Monika Agarwal, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad.

Over the years our focus expanded to include larger realities of women empowerment. Today, we don't just focus on offering a support-system to aspiring business women, professionals, but are talking a lot more about women who are leading major changes in the country in the various spheres of business, technology, finance, politics and development.

A masters degree holder from the London School of Economics Ratna Vira is the daughter of senior journalist, Nalini Singh, and SPN Singh. She shuffles between her corporate engagements and pursuing writing which is her passion.

Daughter By the Court Order is the story of a woman fighting against power, money, deceit, and treachery for her right to be recognised as a daughter. A daughter by court order.. .Ratna explored the serious issues of discrimination against women, especially when it comes to property rights. It is about mother-daughter's troubled relations.

Though debut, the novel has got rave reviews. Gripping, a tale of vicious mother, a must read etc much more.
Ratna worked as Chief People's Communications Officer. Human Capital Management and Executive Vice President at YES Bank Ltd. She also worked with various organizations like Hindustan Times, State Trading Corporation of India, PepsiCo, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Grand Hyatt, Bharti Enterprises, Apollo International and Quatrro BPO Solutions.

The book has inspired Prime Minister Narendra Modi to write a letter to the author. Inspired and encouraged by the words of the Prime Minister, Ratna Vira announced the establishment of the Daughter By Court Order Forum for Women(DBCO Forum for Women).
