Speaking on the occasion, the Spokesperson of the 'Heroes Project' said, "The Heroes AIDS Project seeks to harness India's communication power and potential to address the spread of HIV and reduce stigma and discrimination, by influencing public perception and policy through two platforms: advocacy and media. It correspondingly works through two avenues in its initiative: a communication campaign and a societal leader's program. Radio Mirchi, as an FM channel also believes in reaching out to the people in a more meaningful, yet entertaining way. With this initiative, we intend to create awareness about the need to accept the situation and move forward optimistically. World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the HIV pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, in honour of this day Radio Mirchi celebrated the spirit of the people living, overcoming this situation positively.
