FICCI Ladies Interactive Session on The Changes in Art Scenario

FICCI Ladies Organization, Hyderabad Chapter conducted an Interactive Session with Mr.PareshMaity on "The Constants &The Changes in the Art Scenario "At The Vivanta by Taj, Begumpet today at 3.30 pm. The session was Moderated by Ms. Sangeeta Chopra (Co-owner of Art Musings Gallery, Mumbai)
This interactive talk covered the entire span of art with perspectives from both the art & commerce angle, the artist & the gallery.
Pinky Reddy, the chairperson of FLO said, “ForParesh, life is a celebration and his talent as a painter lies in his ability to internalise the Indian experience and express it in a style which is delightfully refreshing. PARESH MAITY : He has achieved proficiency in various art mediums including painting, sculpture, wood, ceramics, video & photography. The colours are vibrant, and echo the passion of the artist. The sand dunes of Rajasthan, the backwaters of Kerala, the canals of Venice, Maity's works have captured it all. Malty has shown in several important exhibitions all over the world, including a solo exhibition, Montage: Moments, Memories with Art Musings, Mumbai, 2009. His works are in various important museum and private collections across the globe. Several books have been published on him. The Bengali artist is also famous for the Indian Odyssey, a massive mural depicting the diversity of India that stretches over 850 feet at the Delhi airport.
ART MUSINGS : Founded in 1999, Art Musings was one of the first galleries to open in South Mumbai's vibrant art district. The gallery has been extremely responsive to the emergent vocabularies shaping contemporary Indian art and has played a key role in nurturing spectrum of artistic practices. Over the years Art Musings have offset exhibitions by renowned Indian modernists such as F N Souza, Ram Kumar, S H Raza, AnjolieElaMenon, and SaktiBurman with shows by contemporary artists such as NaliniMalani, PareshMaity, BaijuParthan, JayasriBurman, ChittrovanuMazumdar, Maya Burman, NiloferSuleman&Raghava KK.
