Fifth edition of the Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair Inaugurated
Hyderabad, June 22, 2012: The fifth edition of the Hyderabed Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair by UBM India commenced on Friday, 22 June, 2012 at the HITEX exhibition centre.
The three day exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy, Hon'ble Minister for Cooperation along with Sanjeev Khaira, MD & Country Head for UBM India. Also present in support were key jewellery association heads- Ramesh Kumar Agarwal, President, Hyderabad Jewellery Manufacturers Association, Kailas Charan, President, Twin Cities Jewellers Association and Boorugu Suryaprakash, President, AP Gold Silver Jewellery & Diamond Merchants Association.
The international trade fair will see participation from over 125 exhibitors including leading industry names such as Anmol Jewellers, Ashlyn Chemmunoor, CVM Exports, Dreamz diamonds, Gili India, IGI, P.Mangatram, Sheetal Manufacturing, Shubham Motiwala etc.
On display was an unmatched range of glittering gems, studded jewellery, machinery and lab companies, pristine pearls, exquisite diamond jewellery, and traditional gold jewellery.
Apart from the exhibit, the event will also see a host of knowledge sharing sessions to be conducted in association with the best in the business. The first day witnessed a seminar by the Gemological Institute of America on the 'Seven Value of Pearls'. Scheduled for day 2 is a meeting for Members of Andhra Pradesh Gold and Silver Jewellery and Diamond Merchants Association, a presentation on e-selling by e-Bay and a discussion on Licensing procedure for Hallmarking of Gold & Silver Jewellery by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) apart from the 'networking dinner' that will take place in the evening.
