Villa Marie Degree College for Women 'Blossoms Monsoon Magic'

Senior degree students of Villa Marie Degree College for Women, Somajiguda, hosted a Fresher’s Party – BLOSSOMS 2012 – themed ‘Monsoon Magic’ for their Juniors, at the college premises on a cloudy Saturday morning of 14th July 2012.

The party started off with some spectacular dance performances by groups like – Cloudy Clusters, Downpour Divas, Jalparis, Rimjhim etc. on Rain songs. Following this, the juniors dressed in their best shade of monsoon blue showcased their beauty and brains for the much-awaited Ms. Fresher’s Contest 2012.

Tollywood actor Uday Kiran, upcoming Model Sana Khan and CEO of Thought Bubble – Mohit Bakshi judged the participants on the basis of their confidence, presence of mind and overall appearance. Finally, out of the 47 students who contested, the following students were emerged as winners –

2nd Runner Up – Ms. Rashmi Kasal

3rd Runner Up – Ms. Aishwarya K.

4th Runner Up – Ms. Anahida

Ms. Mesmerizing for Beautiful Smile - Ms. Neelam

Ms. Nayantara for Beautiful Eyes – Ms.Sowmya

Ms. Graceful for graceful walk - Ms.Rainy Jain

Ms. Perfect 10 – Ms. Danita Kaur

The exiting party with concluded with the words for wisdom by Principal – Dr. Philomena followed by a thanks-giving note by a junior student Smriti Mohanlal, who appreciated the efforts put in the senior students.

The staff and students of Villa Marie were treated with scrumptious lunch buffet hosted by the senior degree students. After the lunch the students rocked the dance floor with Uday Kiran while DJ Jay played his rainy numbers.

The party was a great success and the juniors claimed they could not have had a better welcome than this.
