Santa Claus comes to Novotel this year on a Santa Cruise!
Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre has created a perfect setting to celebrate a truly graceful & environment friendly Christmas this season. Even bigger, even better than last year’s 40 ft tree that left all spellbound; This year’s Christmas Tree will come to life at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Center with a gigantic Cruise; custom made with recycled material. A unique piece of art put together by the staff of the hotel.
This year the most awaited Christmas celebration by Novotel is back with a strong message to create awareness about the effects of global warming & importance of sustainable development The idea was to blend the fun of building a Christmas tree with the sustainable initiatives that Novotel and Accor as a brand believes and practice.
This year due to the melting glaciers, Santa has decided to visit the Novotel and their guests on a Santa Cruise. The Santa Cruise built by the management of Novotel will stand as a testimony to the hotel’s commitment to sustainable development.
The cruise is entirely built using waste material and sports a mast with the sail taking the shape of a Christmas tree. It's almost 40ft and made with recycled water bottles, waste paper, scrap iron, tube frames and lots and lots of other recycled material.
The ship was built with extreme hard work and enthusiasm by many of the employees. It took 600 man hours, 300 Kgs of scrap iron, 1000 Kgs of waste, recycled paper, and hundreds of water bottles to make this site is truly magnificent The team at Novotel is proud to unveil this and celebrate the Lighting Ceremony on 6th Dec with Peter Frawley, General Manager Delegate, Accor Hotels, Andhra Pradesh. Joining the Novotel team would be the tiny tots from schools singing Christmas Carols and adding the final finesse and fun to this grand celebration.
